Overview of the Course Selection Timeline

Step 1:

View the Grade Level “Course Options” Presentations for your grade level

(Virtual Course Cards can be accessed in the grade level slide presentations above. Students can click on the virtual course card link and an individualized copy will be created just for them)


Step 2:

Fill out your virtual course card 

Fill out your virtual course card (accessed in the grade level presentations, see above). Use this document as a worksheet to plan out your choices for next year. (Video (haz clic) explicando la tarjeta virtual y qué hacer en español). 

  • Hear from teachers during the week of Jan 25th as they explain the course offerings per department during zoom classes. 

  • Talk with your family, review graduation requirements and watch department videos to learn about all the options available to you. 

Virtual Course cards should be finalized by Monday, Feb. 1st. 


Step 3:

Infinite Campus Course Entry

Beginning the week of Feb. 1st (or sooner if the student has completed their virtual course card and feels ready to request courses), students will enter their course requests into Infinite Campus. 

Students will be using the Infinite Campus Parent/ Student Login for course entry.  Follow the tutorials below to enter your requests:

Please note: Alternate course requests SHOULD NOT be entered into Infinite Campus. These should be listed on your course card, which will be uploaded to your Xello account (see Step 4) and referenced by your counselor SHOULD alternate requests be needed to complete your schedule. 

All students need to enter course requests into Infinite Campus by Friday, Feb. 5th.


Step 4:

Upload Virtual Course Card to Xello

After entering your Course Requests into Infinite Campus, the last step in the 2021-22 course selection process is uploading the virtual course card into Xello.  

Students can access their Xello account by going to the West HS Website and scrolling to the bottom of the main page. The Xello-Student link is located underneath the BLUE BAR. Students will be automatically connected to their Xello account by clicking on this link.
