The West High School Wellness Committee, along with the Raise Your Voice Club (mental health advocacy club) are hosting a Wellness Fair during the school day on Tuesday, March 10th in the Van Hise Gym at West High School.
Teachers can sign-up to bring their classes by emailing the Wellness Fair Coordinator, Heidi Hastings. Note that space is limited.
Students will be given a "passport" to have stamped at each station. Students who complete the passport will be eligible to win a prize.
Students and staff can also come visit booths during their study hall/prep times and/or lunch. Students MUST get a pass from their study hall/guided study teacher to attend the fair. Students without passes will not be allowed to visit the fair. Students may attend the fair during lunch without a pass.
Speakers will share information about mental health, and personal stories regarding their mental health journey. We hope that all audience members will be respectful and attentive, as these speakers will be sharing some difficult stories.
Note: There will be a small therapy dog at the fair. The dog will be in a small side room/area, so people do not have to get near it if they don't want to.
