Welcome to the West High School Library Media Center!
October is National Bullying Prevention Month! Spread Kindness with this list of ebooks and audiobooks on Sora.
Big news! We've finished Chromebook distribution and were finally able to move the BOOKS into this year's home for the library, room 2405.
The library has temporarily moved to room 2405 (across from Resource Hall) during the renovation.
Latinx Heritage Month (aka Hispanic Heritage Month) runs from September 15 through October 15.
Meet Your Library Media Technology Specialist
Hello, my name Beth Hennes and I am the school librarian at West. My last name rhymes with tennis (o si hablas español, mi apellido se pronuncia como "mis genes").
Before working in school libraries, I had a teaching background in World Languages and English as a Second Language. I speak French, Spanish, and a tiny bit of Hmong! I also have a strong science background from my undergrad.
Professionally, I love eBooks and audiobooks with Sora (OverDrive). I am your local copyright and Fair Use expert--I actually co-teach a copyright course for other school librarians with a lawyer-librarian from UNC.
Personally, I love playing the violin, snowboarding, looseleaf tea, tech toys, and house bunnies!
