Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year is completely virtual. The online enrollment application opens on August 10th and can be accessed at www.mmsd.org/enroll. School and district staff are here to answer your questions about enrollment! See below for more details.
Staff will be available to virtually support (over the phone and with video meetings through Zoom) students and families new to the district with the enrollment process on Thursday, August 13th from 12:00-6:00pm. A virtual meeting is required for all new students to verify documents.
COMPLETE ONLINE ENROLLMENT (Beginning August 10th)
Locate your Infinite Campus username and password to access the online enrollment system. Visit mmsd.org/lostpassword to fill out a form to receive an email with your username and/or password if you don't have it. Fill out the yearly enrollment information and pay fees online by visiting mmsd.org/enroll.
Virtual Enrollment Support
Staff will be available to support students and families virtually (over the phone and with video meetings through Zoom) with the enrollment process on:
- Week of August 10th, 7:30-4:00 - Call the Enrollment Office at 608-663-4957.
- Monday, August 17th: 11:00am - 6:00pm - Call West High School at 608-204-4100 and your call will be directed to the appropriate party.
- Wednesday, August 19th: 7:30am - 1:00pm - Call West High School at 608-204-4100 and your call will be directed to the appropriate party.
Fees may be paid online with a credit card at any time without a service fee or by mailing a check to West High School (30 Ash Street, Madison, WI, 53726). The District sends out monthly invoices for all fees owed once school begins. Waivers can be requested for some fees.
$35. This is a required Board of Education fee that is part of the District budget designated for textbooks.
$17. This is a required Board of Education fee that is part of the District budget designated for classroom supplies.
$30. This is a required Board of Education fee that is part of the District budget designated to cover co-curricular District costs, i.e. materials and staff time not supported by club activities, anything non-athletic. All students can participate in any activity.
$5. Optional fee. Planners will be available in September and we will announce a distribution plan at a later date.
$47. Optional fee. Yearbooks can be purchased online with other enrollment fees and can also be purchased later. The price of the yearbook goes up from $47 to $50 after 1/1/21.
PHOTO IDS AND LIFETOUCH PORTRAITS
LifeTouch portrait events at all MMSD schools have been cancelled through October 30th and will be rescheduled when in person school resumes. Until that time students can continue to use last school year's student ID.
Returning 9th Grade - Chromebook exchange took place at Wright Middle School from 8-3 on August 17th and 18th by last name. If you missed these dates, make-up days are at Wright Middle School:
- Tuesday, September 8, 8am-3pm
- Wednesday, September 9, 12-7pm
- Thursday, September 10, 12-7pm
- Friday, September 11, 8am-3pm
Returning 10th-12th Grade - Students will use the same Chromebook they used last school year. Guidance surrounding tech help will be coming soon.
New Students - New students to MMSD will pick-up Chromebooks at Wright Middle School on Friday, September 4th.
Schedules will be viewable beginning August 24th in Infinite Campus and through the "Campus Parent" and "Campus Student" app on mobile devices. Schedule change info and request form can be found here.
High schools do not have specific school supply lists. Supplies will vary based on individual courses. Teachers will inform students of specific needs during the first week of school.
Bus passes can still be purchased through Madison Metro on their website. Information on district-funded bus passes coming soon.
