West is CLOSED for construction this summer starting on June 10th and will not reopen until the end of August.
Cherokee Middle School is our site for in-person summer school beginning June 20th, and will be open from 7:30-12:00 and 12:30-4:00 Monday-Thursday for West business.

The CDC recommends that everyone ages five years and older get vaccinated against COVID-19, as well as a COVID-19 booster, when eligible. Lincoln Elementary School (909 Sequoia Trail, Madison, WI 53713) will host a COVID-19 clinic, in partnership with SSM Health, on Thursday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All MMSD staff, students, and family members five and older are invited; appointments are required. The deadline to make an appointment is Thursday, June 16.

A meaningful Keynote speech by civil rights educator Percy Brown, Jr. (Madison West Class of 1992), an impassioned choir performance of “House on Pooh Corner,” and the moving of tassels marked the perfect event to celebrate the Class of 2022.
Free Summer Metro Transit bus passes will be available to ALL West students. Bus passes can be picked up from SLC offices this week through Wednesday, June 8th. Passes will be available for pick up again beginning June 20th at Cherokee Middle School during Summer Semester hours, Monday-Thursday between 7:45am-12:30pm.
