I have been a teacher at West since January of 1999. I teach Social Dance, Dance 1, and Dance 2. I also teach reading intervention classes here at West. I love how diverse West is and the wide range of students I get to work with every day. I truly enjoy the relationships I build with students every year. In my free time I love to read, and hang out with my family and dogs at the beach

The best part of being a physical education teacher is the daily enjoyment of seeing young people grow and develop their skills so they will have a long life of physical activity. I spend much of my free time playing doubles beach volleyball with my wife as my partner. I also love to go out to eat and would do that every night of the week if I could.

I am a MMSD graduate, and attended UW-LaCrosse for my undergrad and masters degrees. I am passionate about making Health and Physical Activity relevant to students and empowering them to make healthy lifestyle choices. I currently teach Lifeguard Training and Health Education. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children and competing in triathlons, camping, teaching fitness classes and being outdoors.

I believe now more than ever it is important to develop the passion and skills necessary to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I enjoy ever day working with my fellow PE and Health teachers to help the students of West learn this. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife, 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. I'm also an assistant coach for the Varsity Football team here at West.

I teach Strength and Conditioning, Health, and Peer Partners Phy Ed. at West High. The favorite part of my job is interacting with students and staff members daily. I enjoy helping others and that is what drove me to be a teacher. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my loving wife and fantastic four children! My hobbies include golf, hunting, hiking, and doing anything outdoors.
